Nintendo has released a new Donkey Kong Bananza "Rally Towel" reward in the US My Nintendo Store, and all Nintendo account holders can claim the reward while supplies last. Donkey Kong Bananza was released as one of the highest-rated games of the year, and it's set to be a major title showcasing the capabilities of Nintendo Switch 2 in its first year out on the market.
More than 25 years after the release of Donkey Kong 64 in 1999, Donkey Kong Bananza was released on July 17, 2025, as the second-ever 3D Donkey Kong game. Developed by the Super Mario Odyssey team, Donkey Kong Bananza sees Donkey Kong and his companion, Pauline, delve deep underground to uncover the secrets of the Planet Core, which is believed to grant any desire. The Void Company, comprised of Void King, Grumpy Kong, and Poppy Kong, will stop at nothing to ensure they reach the Planet Core first and claim the world's riches. PostsAs reported by Nintendo Life, the US My Nintendo Store has been updated with the new Donkey Kong Banana Rally Towel physical reward, which costs 650 Platinum Points. The 8x12" rally towel features Donkey Kong in his updated design being launched forward in a mine cart, and the game's logo and a breakable barrel are also featured prominently on the towel. Although the reward may be redeemed with Platinum Points, shipping fees will still apply, and players can only order one towel per Nintendo account. Moreover, Nintendo notes that the rally towel will only be available while supplies last, so it could become a rare item before long.
