Benny Blanco admits he never saw Selena Gomez's show “Wizards of Waverly Place” until they started dating: 'I knew she was a kid star'

Wizards of Waverly Place made Selena Gomez a star, but her fiancé Benny Blanco admitted that he never watched the show.
On the latest episode of the Therapuss With Jake Shane podcast, Blanco said he asked Gomez to watch her Disney Channel sitcom ahead of her appearance on the reboot, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.
"I knew she was, like, a kid star, but I had never seen any of it," he said of his fiancée.

Blanco also shared that he had never heard of the Jonas Brothers until the group came out with "Sucker" in 2019, despite Gomez dating Nick Jonas when they were both Disney kids. Blanco attributed this to the fact that he was older than Disney Channel's target demographic when Gomez and the Jonas Brothers were associated with the network.
