Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift Had the Same Friday Plan originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is a self-professed Taylor Swift fan. The fact that the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year watched the “Eras Tour” multiple times, among other things, is a clear testament to this notion.

Clark also got the chance to rub elbows with the “Fortnight” singer after she accepted Swift’s invitation to a Kansas City Chiefs game. The two were spotted sitting together in a VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium as they watched Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the Chiefs during a playoff game this past season.

Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift Were Up to the Same Thing on Friday

There’s another thing these two superstars have in common, and that’s their affinity for comedy movies. Clark and Swift were not together on Friday, but as it turns out, they were up to the same thing.

Earlier in the day, Swift broke her Instagram hiatus to express how much she loved Adam Sandler’s new Netflix film, “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cracking and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible 🍯” she posted.

Swift had a bit of an ulterior motive in promoting the film. Kelce had a cameo in the highly anticipated movie, which premiered on Friday, and the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter did her part to make sure that one of her boyfriend’s first movies turns out to be a box-office hit.

As it turns out, Clark wasted no time catching the newly released flick, too. She took to Instagram to share a photo of her TV on Friday night as she snuggled in to watch the movie.

“Happy Gilmore 2 !!!!” she wrote.

Swift and Clark may have been miles apart on Friday, but they were united by their excitement for the second installment of Sandler’s 1996 classic comedy.
