Darcie Haven Reflects On Letting Go On New Single ‘A Good Man’

Rising alt-pop singer-songwriter Darcie Haven has just shared her latest single, ‘A Good Man’ — a slow-burn reflection on love, control, and knowing when to let go.

Built around soft synths and Haven’s intimate vocal delivery, ‘A Good Man’ leans into emotional honesty, exploring the slow breakdown of a relationship where one person is trying to change the other into someone they’ll never be.

“It’s about a relationship where you’re tirelessly trying to squeeze more love and life out of someone than they are capable of,” Darcie explains. “And not knowing when to let go.”

The track arrives off the back of a strong start to 2025 for Haven, who recently scored a full triple j rotation ass with ‘Doomsday’, sold out her Sydney pop-up event, and is gearing up for her debut national headline tour this August, with all shows bar Brisbane already SOLD OUT.

‘A Good Man’ continues the shooting star singer-songwriter’s run of left-of-centre, diaristic pop — raw, honest, and full of quiet power. Haven has touted it as her favourite song off her forthcoming EP Angel Of The Apocalypse, due out at the end of the month on Wednesday, 30th July.
