HGTV fans are demanding answers after a slew of their favorite shows were canceled within the last month.

Avid viewers flocked to the comments section of an Instagram post shared by HGTV on Thursday, July 3, to express their disappointment in the network’s decision to discontinue several top shows.

The post, which is pinned on the network’s account, features the shows that will be returning in July, including programs like Zillow Gone Wild, Celebrity IOU and My Lottery Dream Home. The network captioned the post: “It's show time! Here's what's on HGTV in July.”

However, since fans learned this week that HGTV has canceled even more fan-favorite shows — including Christina Haack's Christina on the Coast and Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa’s The Flipping El Moussas — they’ve been taking to social media to ask for an explanation on the unexpected programming purge.

“Can't believe you're not renewing Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas! Literally the best shows besides Down Home Fab to be on the channel...smh,” one commenter wrote.

Another questioned, “HGTV what is going on??? What happened to Married to Real Estate, Farmhouse Fixer and Bargain Block?”

“I hope all the cancelled shows find a new network to go to,” one user commented. “I love watching Christina on the Coast, The Flipping El Moussas, and Izzy Does It. They’re the only reason I watch HGTV. Such a bummer to see them cancelled.”

Others were adamant that the network would lose "a lot of viewers" as a result of the cancellations.

“Wow @hgtv. You’re certainly turning into a channel that is must NOT watch. Cancelling so many good shows,” one wrote, followed by another who added, “Disappointed in HGTV. You’re about to lose of lot of viewers!”

Sources confirmed to PEOPLE this week that Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas have not been renewed by HGTV. Since June 24, the network has also canceled Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block, Farmhouse Fixer, and Izzy Does It, according to the stars of those shows.

“Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we're met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, June 24.

“While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other),” the post continued.

They added that while they had “more to say” on the situation that they’d be “sharing soon,” they refused to let the disappointing news bring them down at the time.

“For now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise. We've been here before. We'll keep counting those blessings—and keep it moving. Stay tuned,” the caption concluded.
