Holmes County Commissioners vote to close Lake Cassidy until 2026

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Holmes County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday morning to close Lake Cassidy until Jan. 1, 2026.

Commissioners addressed the issue at the start of the meeting and after only two residents got up to speak on the issue.

Authorities working to identify suspects in Lake Cassidy brawl

This move comes on the heels of a nighttime brawl that broke out at the lake over the weekend, where at least one person was knocked unconscious.
