Billing it as easy to install, easy to clean up, and easy on the wallet, Slime announces its new Tubeless Bicycle Tire Sealant.

Slime says its new formulation differs from its previous one in that it’s easier to clean up with just water and a rag. The new formula is slightly thicker, which coats the inside of the tire more continuously and helps the sealant last longer. It’s also easier to pour into the tire, which means less mess during installation. Finally, the new formula is less prone to clumping inside the tire.

“Tubeless bicycle sealant is one of those must-have products that should always just work, without any issues,” said Chad Ellman, Slime’s Director of Marketing. “Our new Tubeless Bicycle Sealant does what Slime has always done best - prevents flats and ensures that you will never get stuck out on a trail, on your way to work, or anywhere else your ride takes you.”

Cal Poly graduate Steve Cegelski invented Slime in his garage in 1989, and the company enjoyed a meteoric rise soon after. Originally designed for bike inner tubes, the name Slime has become ubiquitous with all tire sealants.

Automotive and motorsports use soon became a bulk of Slime’s business, but as tubeless tires became standard in the mountain bike world, Slime released their Tubeless Ready (STR) sealant specifically for performance cyclists in 2017.

Based on customer feedback, Slime has made their new tubeless tire sealant easier to clean up while also lasting longer in the tire. It seals punctures up to a quarter-inch, and has a freezing point of 3 degrees to work in fat and mountain bikes during winter riding.

An 8-ounce bottle of Slime'sTubeless Bicycle Sealant is available at Amazon and Walmart for $8.99. Visit Slime.com for more information.
