Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise kicks off June 7, offering fan favorites (and those deemed "villains"!) from across the franchise another chance at love.

After a two-year hiatus, the show returns with big changes, including former Bachelorette Hannah Brown joining as the first-ever "head of Paradise Relations,” alums from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette headed to the beach and a new (and upgraded!) filming location.

In April 2025, ABC announced that the show would be heading to a new paradise: Costa Rica. Ahead of the premiere, new showrunner Scott Teti gave Entertainment Weekly a sneak peek of the new location and said it's "more upscale and has a sexy chicness to it that feels more elevated than the traditional kind ofParadiseworld that we've been in."

So, where is Bachelor in Paradise season 10 filmed? Here's everything to know about the reality dating show's new resort location in Costa Rica.

There are several upgrades from the previous location, including enclosed rooms with private pools that each contestant will share with one roommate — a stark contrast from the previous bunk beds in open-air rooms.

"The cast can literally open the doors to their rooms and swim out into the pool under bridges, and then up to a beautiful bar that is touching the beach," Teti told Entertainment Weekly.

As for the surroundings, Teti said the resort has "amazing views."

"The beach itself is private and unique. There's a beautiful island right off it with a bunch of fishing boats that surround it every day, with a quaint little town right next door, but not a ton of foot traffic," he said. "It feels remote and upscale and sexy at the same time."

“I think the drive to move was based on shaking things up stylistically with a new vibe and a new kind ofParadise,” he said, adding that it is “production friendly” given its secluded, private beach.

“It also has the ability for our production to stay on one side of the sister hotel, and the newer portion of the [Azura] Beach Resort, where we will be filming, is right next door,” the showrunner continued. “It's this beautiful sexy, new location.”

Teti added that they are "trying to elevate" everything about "the style of the show."

"From new cameras and lenses to frame rates to the way it's shot — we’re trying to implement an upgraded, sexy style across the board," he said.

Bachelor in Paradise fans know that contestants have previously complained about the bunk bed sleeping arrangements, abundance of crabs and, of course, the lack of air conditioning.

This season, in addition to elevated rooms and a swim-up bar, there's another major upgrade to the new location: air conditioning!

"We're going to make sure that they have their perfectParadiseto keep them rested and hydrated," Teti told Entertainment Weekly. "There's plenty of shade and comfortable water temperatures to be had."

The official Bachelor in Paradise Instagram account confirmed that the new location had AC, which left one Paradise alum extra excited.

Kat Izzo, who is returning to Paradise after previously appearing in season 9, commented on the post, "HELLO AIR CONDITIONING."

She continued in a separate comment, "say it again."

As for the behind-the-scenes crew, Teti told Entertainment Weekly he was "excited to be filming people that aren't constantly sweating, but maybe [they’ll have] a little bit of a glisten to just give it a sexy vibe."

The "boom boom room" — a private space where contestants can have intimate time away from the rest of the cast — has long been a Bachelor in Paradise staple. Now, it's getting a makeover.

Teti told Entertainment Weekly that there will be a special "VIP Suite" available to contestants on "certain occasions," which can be used if they want to get some "alone" time with a potential connection.

"The VIP suite is a two-story private getaway with an amazing setup that exudesParadise," Teti said. "It's got a private pool on the top floor and a jacuzzi on the second floor with a full-on kitchen. It's got huge balconies and elite views."
