Cyberpunk 2077 has shared a glimpse of its upcoming collaboration with the free-to-play tactical FPS Arena Breakout: Infinite. The latest partner collab for Cyberpunk 2077 is an extraction shooter developed by Tencent-owned MoreFun Studios, which was rolled out in early access on Steam in August 2024.
Over the past few years, Cyberpunk 2077 has effectively left its 2020 launch fiasco behind and reinvented itself through a highly successful DLC and multiple free content-rich updates. This comeback for CD Projekt Red's IP, which fans often refer to as one of the best redemption arcs in gaming, has enabled the five-year-old game to remain relevant to this day. For instance, the sci-fi title still sees tens of thousands of players visit Night City every day on Steam alone. Apart from the post-launch content, fans have also enjoyed several Cyberpunk 2077 collaborations, including a crossover with the highly decorated Balatro in late 2024.

The trailer shows an armored truck, driven by an operator, speeding through the city until it comes to a stop and reveals the Cyberpunk 2077-inspired jacket worn by the driver. To be more precise, the clothing item in question bears the insignia of the Samurai band from CDPR's futuristic RPG and is basically the same as the one donned by the game's protagonist, V. On the other hand, Arena Breakout: Infinite also shared an image of an operator sporting the iconic attire. Since nothing more about the partnership was revealed, it isn't exactly clear what all fans of either game may expect from this development in the future.

The newly revealed team-up between Cyberpunk 2077 and Arena Breakout: Infinite appears to be a win-win, at least, on paper. While it gives fans of CDPR's highly rated FPS another collab to look forward to, the partnership can reasonably be expected to boost player interest in Tencent's PC port of its popular mobile shooter. However, before raising expectations, it might be better to wait for a full reveal of the upcoming crossover.
