LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One of Las Vegas’ most eccentric homes is now on sale for $2.5 million.

The home, near the corner of Sandhill and Flamingo roads, belonged to former Nevada Lieutenant Governor and neurosurgeon Lonnie Hammargren.

While alive, Hammargren filled the home with a massive collection of Las Vegas memorabilia. He would open the home every Nevada Day for visitors to come by. A new owner purchased the home in 2017 after it had foreclosed and has made the home less overcrowded.

The home still has its unique charm, with Liberace’s staircase, a planetarium, a cathedral, and more. It’s not the average residence. “I don’t know that it’s a home for a typical family,” realtor Angie Hatcher said. “It’s probably for someone that wants to entertain or someone that really appreciates the Las Vegas history and what this means for the community and understands it.”

The 7,268 square foot house features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage.
