InZOI has detailed a few exciting focuses for the upcoming August 2025 update. The latest InZOI development is a cool look at what players can expect from the game's next major update next month.
InZOI's trajectory has been interesting to watch. The game enjoyed a successful Early Access launch back in March 2025, and it seemed primed to establish itself as a real Sims competitor in the life simulator genre. InZOI's player count has dwindled in the months since, with a lack of content seemingly to blame for waning interest. However, Krafton has continued to update the game with new content, which will hopefully help draw players back over time.

Every Feature InZOI Has at Launch That The Sims 4 was Missing
InZOI has been criticized for shallow gameplay, but it's still in early access and includes features that The Sims 4 was missing at its launch.
Posts 1In a post on Steam, game director Hungjun "Kjun" Kim confirmed that while the new InZOI island Cahaya will remain the major focus of the upcoming August update, there are a couple of other key areas that will get major improvements. The first is on Zoi personalities and behavior, a response to "the lack of distinctive behaviour and traits among different Zois" right now. The August update will aim to "make each Zoi's unique personality and preferences feel more pronounced."
InZOI Confirms Focus on Zoi Personalities and Goals for August Update
CloseMeanwhile, InZOI's Zoi goals and player guides will also be getting a big upgrade. Right now, "several players have expressed difficulty finding out what to do next in the game, largely because key information related to Zoi goals is hidden deep within the UI," while "the lack of meaningful rewards makes fulfilling these goals feel underwhelming." To fix this, Krafton is looking to make "the core gameplay loop more clear and engaging" going forward, which is exciting for those who feel the current loop is a little too complicated. Kjun also snuck in the fact that swimming is coming as part of the Cahaya update, which, considering it's set on a resort island, makes a lot of sense.
There's a lot for InZOI fans to look forward to in the near future. The Cahaya update will be massive when it launches next month, while there's also set to be a pretty significant InZOI modding update released in October. Fans are in for an exciting period as the game begins to take shape throughout its Early Access period. There are tons of features left on the table right now, and hopefully as the game becomes more feature-complete, the player count shoots up to the levels seen at launch.
