Pokemon TCG Pocket's upcoming A4a set has reportedly leaked, revealing some of its featured cards along with its release date of August 28. Guessing expansion release dates for Pokemon TCG Pocket hasn't been too difficult, as they've been following a predictable pattern. This leak, however, reveals more than just the date.

Rumors about Pokemon TCG Pocket's A4a set began circulating before the release of Wisdom of Sea and Sky. At the time, it was speculated that the supplemental booster packs would focus mostly on baby Pokemon. However, since those have already been added and Mega Evolution is seemingly planned for a fall release, the A4a set's content has raised some questions among fans.

All Leaked Cards From Pokemon TCG Pocket's A4a Set

Entei Raikou Suicune Latios Latias Poliwhirl

It seems Pokemon TCG Pocket accidentally published a post on Google Play and the Apple App Store indicating that the next event will begin on August 28, bringing Entei, Raikou, and Suicune to the game. The event's artwork also features other characters, like Poliwhirl, who may receive a reworked card in the upcoming expansion. This isn't the first time an early announcement has caused a booster pack leak. Back in July, the full teaser for Pokemon TCG Pocket's A4 pack was mistakenly published, leading to 14 cards being leaked.

Based on the recently leaked characters and Pokemon TCG Pocket's overall roster, it seems DeNA's digital card game isn't restricting each themed collection to a single region. For example, the A4 set was promoted as a journey to Johto, yet the rumored inclusion of Latios and Latias in A4a points to a jump into Hoenn. This is likely meant to balance each release according to the current state of the metagame while giving the card production team room to experiment with different creatures and effects.

Fans looking to open the next miniset in Pokemon TCG Pocket should mark August 28 on their calendars. A teaser trailer for the booster packs is also expected to be revealed soon. That is because the recent leak seems more like a slip-up that was most likely supposed to go live after the trailer. Following A4a, the game will introduce A4b sometime in September, which is believed to be the final pack of the A series. If the rumors are true, the game's first anniversary will also bring the launch of the first B-series booster packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket, potentially marking the start of a new era in the meta.
