Rimac Nevera R Obliterates 0–400–0 km/h Record, Sets 24 New Speed Benchmarks

The Rimac Nevera R has redefined what it means to be fast, smashing the world record for the 0–400–0 km/h (0–249–0 mph) test with a jaw-dropping time of 25.79 seconds, slicing more than two seconds off the previous record held by the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.

The record-setting run not only reclaimed Rimac’s place atop the hypercar leaderboard, but also marked 24 total acceleration records, showcasing performance gains across virtually every measurable metric since the original Nevera’s debut.

Behind the wheel of the Nevera R, Rimac’s test driver coaxed astonishing speed from the all-electric hypercar, benefiting from updates including increased downforce, enhanced torque vectoring, Michelin Cup 2 tires, and a power boost to 2,078 horsepower, up from 1,888 hp in the standard model.

Among the highlights:

0–60 mph in 1.66 seconds

0–100 mph in 2.96 seconds

0–200 km/h in 3.95 seconds

0–300 km/h in 7.89 seconds

0–400 km/h in 17.35 seconds

Quarter mile in 7.90 seconds

Standing mile in 19.71 seconds

0–400–0 km/h in 25.79 seconds, beating Koenigsegg by 2.04 seconds

The feat also included blistering deceleration times, like 0–100–0 km/h in 3.32 seconds, and 0–250–0 mph in 26.2 seconds, proving the Nevera R is as adept at stopping as it is at accelerating.

Flat out, the hyper-EV hit 268.2 mph (431.45 km/h).

Rimac’s latest performance barrage underscores the brand’s dominance in the electric hypercar segment—and may reignite competition among manufacturers like Koenigsegg and Bugatti.

With records falling and the EV arms race intensifying, the Nevera R is once again the benchmark for straight-line supremacy.
