Another new update has been released for Minecraft's Bedrock Edition, bringing a rare new music disc that contains A Minecraft Movie's iconic Lava Chicken song alongside several minor changes and bug fixes. Fans playing the Java Edition of Minecraft have been able to enjoy this new music disc since that version's 1.21.7 update was released near the end of June, but players can now annoy their friends with this rendition of the Lava Chicken tune in multiplayer worlds across any and all platforms.
A Minecraft Movie achieved massive popularity after its debut in April, starring Jack Black as Steve alongside other big names, including Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, and Emma Myers. The movie's wacky setting and story gave birth to quite a few memes too, some of which no doubt grew even more popular than the film itself. For those who are out of the loop or simply haven't had the chance to watch it yet, the latest music disc to arrive in Minecraft is based on the Lava Chicken tune sung by Jack Black during a scene in the movie, which focuses on Steve cooking up some chicken using lava.

Minecraft's New Copper Recipes in the Fall Drop 2025 Are a Game-Changer for Early Survival Runs
Minecraft's upcoming Fall Drop 2025 is giving players new ways to use their stacks of Copper, which will be great in Survival mode.
Posts 1The song that players can listen to in the game doesn't actually contain Jack Black's singing, though it does feature vocals from Minecraft's Villager mob, which is debatably even better. The track is a mostly chiptune rendition of the original song created by Hyper Potions, and can be obtained in-game by killing a Chicken Jockey. The latest update for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition doesn't add much beyond this one small but amusing new music disc, though it does address a variety of bugs across several platforms and introduces a couple of minor quality-of-life tweaks. In particular, the latest version tones down the light intensity emissions from most torches when using Minecraft's Vibrant Visuals graphics settings, a change that has been quite widely suggested since the feature first launched.
Minecraft's Latest Update Hits Two Memes With One Music Disc
CloseAs many fans of the Minecraft Movie likely already know, it's no coincidence that the game's new music disc can only be obtained by killing a Chicken Jockey. While this mob - just a baby zombie riding a chicken - has existed in the game for well over a decade now, it recently exploded in popularity thanks to a meme in A Minecraft Movie where Jason Momoa's character is challenged to fight a Chicken Jockey.
Although it hasn't been long since Minecraft released its latest major content drop titled Chase the Skies, Mojang has since revealed more about what fans can expect in the future. Copper is due to become a much more diverse resource with Minecraft's third content drop of 2025 thanks to the addition of the Copper Golem and copper chest, with copper tools, weapons, and armor even set to come as well. Players can try out some of these upcoming features right now in Bedrock Edition by enabling preview content.
