Rumors of a worldwide reveal for the next Battlefield game continue to swirl, as it has now been claimed that Battlefield 6 will be shown to the world on Tuesday, July 29, as part of a 3-day EA event. Some lucky Battlefield fans have been going hands-on with the shooter via closed playtests, but those who haven't received an invite are patiently waiting to see the game's official reveal. Thankfully, if new rumors are to be believed, the wait is almost over.
In September 2024, EA confirmed that a new Battlefield game was now in development and would take inspiration from some of the series' most iconic entries, such as Battlefield 3. The studio revealed that the new shooter will feature a modern setting, and will also rid of some of Battlefield 2042's most controversial elements, such as Specialists. Battlefield 2042 was a disaster for EA and DICE, as the 2021 title received largely negative reviews from both players and critics. Many fans of the series believe Battlefield 2042 was a step back for the franchise, but EA looks to be dedicated to taking the series back to its roots for Battlefield 6.

PostsThings seem to have been moving quickly for the next Battlefield game ever since its announcement last year. Some fans have already been going hands-on with Battlefield 6 via closed playtests, but those who haven't been lucky enough to check out the game might not have to wait much longer to get a better look at it. After a content creator leaked a special Battlefield 6 package this week, it has now been claimed by Kick streamer rivaLxfactor that a 3-day EA event will kick off on July 29 with the worldwide reveal of Battlefield 6. The streamer also claimed that developers will be interviewed in a "fixed format" during the event, and the shooter will be featured with content creators.
Battlefield 6 Reveal Could Just Be Days Away
Those we didn't get invited to the closed Battlefield 6 playtests will be pleased to know that rivaLxfactor also claims that an open beta will also be launching shortly after, meaning fans may get to go hands-on with the next Battlefield game as early as next month. Of course, fans should take this information with a pinch of salt for the time being, as neither EA nor DICE have made any official announcement as of writing. But, given that closed playtests have been ongoing for nearly five months now, there's a good chance that DICE is ready to move the shooter into the next stage of development and release an open beta.
CloseThere have also been some strong rumors that suggest Battlefield 6 will include a Battle Royale mode, similar to the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and many more. Just a few weeks ago, footage from the next Battlefield was leaked online, showcasing the introductory cutscene for Battlefield 6's Battle Royale mode. The footage was quickly taken down, which only adds credibility to the mode's existence. With a worldwide reveal supposedly just days away, fans may get to see more of the mode pretty soon.
